Hey there, Tig again! Wowee, what a weekend it was. As you might have known, I was at (Re)Generation Who 2 in Hunt Valley, Maryland this past weekend and it was AMAZING. I didn't even really get to experience the entire convention (downsides to having to work the event) but I got to meet some really fantastic people, made new friends, and even got to reconnect with a few who I haven't seen in YEARS.
First of all, my weekend started out when I got to hang out with some of my best friends who I met a long, long time ago at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. They took me to the most amazing sushi restaurant I have been to in a long, long time. Seriously, if you live any where near Bel Air, do yourself a favor and go to Bamboo Gardens. It's a brand new place (like they'll have only been open for two or three weeks at this point) and they have hands down some of the best Asian food ever. They do Japanese and Chinese food in addition to their amazing sushi.
Dragon (the pretty ones with the avocado on top) and tuna rolls.
Lobster tempura roll, a super spicy roll that I can't remember the name of right now featuring tempura jalepeno and spicy tuna on top, and then salmon and white fish sashimi.
Their version of the classic Dynamite roll, featuring a torched scallop on top!
All that awesomeness happened even BEFORE I got to the con itself. I didn't grab too many photos like a bad monkey, but I did get some pretty awesome shots of our customers, my neighbor, and two of my favorite cosplays from the weekend.
One of our customers, who was cosplaying as a Dalek, bought our EXTERMINATE Funky Bracelet!
This guy was pretty fantastic. He later changed into a gold shirt.
This was one of my neighbor's, Tangent Artists, cosplay on Saturday. Definitely was a crowd favorite.
And these pretties were made by the best neighbor a girl could ever hope for, Jen of A Geek and Her Machine! I may or may not have been drooling over them all weekend. While these belong to me, you can find more of her incredible hand made bags over on her Facebook!
Well, that's about it for now. I have the weekend off (what's that?) and then will be in Greenville, South Carolina for SC Comic Con! Come by and see me in the Artist Alley at booth #828!
Til next time!
